Who we are

Hedgehog is run by Hedgehog Site Limited, a company registered in New Zealand. If you have a question about your details, email sites@hedgehogsite.com.

What we collect

  • Free preview: your website address and email, so we can rebuild your homepage and send you a private link.
  • Safety quiz: your answers, plus your name, email and website address if you ask for the full report, so we can send it.
  • Free guide: your first name, email and (if you choose) the platform your site is built on, so we can email you the PDF.
  • Marketing emails: only if you tick the box to say yes. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

This website doesn't use advertising trackers. Your browser stores two small things on your own device: whether you've already seen the guide pop-up, and the ticks on our checklists.

Who helps us

Our forms, quiz and emails run on Yodai, which stores the details you send on our behalf. Our website is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security. We never sell or rent your details to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while we're talking to you or looking after your website, and delete them when they're no longer needed, or sooner if you ask.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time by emailing sites@hedgehogsite.com. We'll reply within a few working days. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can also contact the privacy regulator where you live.
